Why might I need

Family Dentistry

?

Your teeth have a whole lifetime ahead of them - keeping them healthy and avoiding potential problems is critical to ensure they last as long as you do! Having a dentist who can help you and your family through every life stage helps you to avoid unnecessary dental disease or treatment, as well as advise and prepare you for potential problems that might affect you throughout your lifetime. Building a long term partnership with your dentist is like having a personal trainer and therapist for your family’s oral health - we’re here when your teeth need help, as well as making sure they look and feel their best (and keeping them that way)!

How could

Family Dentistry

help me?

We know that unpleasant experiences of dental treatment as a child can often lead to a lifetime of fear and neglect. Your dentist will always look to ensure that young children have a fun and positive experience, as well as keeping them engaged and educated on what they can do to look after their teeth.

Several dental diseases often have family or genetic factors which can impact the lifespan of your teeth. Families who see the same dentists for treatment have the advantage of being made aware of these factors. This allows your dentist to better educate you on conditions which may affect you throughout your lifetime, as well as take steps to treat, prevent or even avoid these problems for both you and your family in the future.

Having a consistent dental professional being able to regularly examine your teeth also allows you to better monitor you and your family’s dental condition. This allows for more effective preventive treatments, and minimises necessary treatment as your dentist may only need to suggest treatment if your dental condition begins to decline.
