Canine teeth (sometimes referred to as eye teeth) are naturally slightly darker or yellower than the incisor teeth in front of them. This is because canine teeth are extremely thick and strong to help withstand the forces placed on them when eating and chewing. This increased bulk means there is less light which can shine through them, making them more opaque and giving a darker and yellower appearance.
