Using Your Appliance

Before using your oral appliance, ensure you brush and floss thoroughly. Food or plaque under the appliance increases the risk of cavities or gum disease.
Insert the appliance using gentle finger pressure—do not bite it into position to avoid damage to your teeth or the appliance.

Cleaning Instructions

Clean your appliance each morning with a toothbrush and dishwashing detergent. Avoid toothpaste as it causes scratches that collect plaque and minerals.
Rinse with cold water only; hot water may deform the appliance and affect its fit.
For deeper cleaning, soak in half a capful of Milton’s solution and a cup of cold water while not in use. Rinse well before placing it back in your mouth.

Storage Tips

Store your appliance in the provided case in a cool place like your bathroom to avoid damage from heat, drops, or curious pets.

Bite and Side Effects

Bite changes may occur but can be reversed if managed early. Your first review is crucial to ensure any unwanted bite changes are addressed.
You should be able to bring your teeth together normally within a couple of hours of waking.
Other temporary side effects may include excessive salivation, dry mouth, difficulty sleeping, or jaw discomfort—usually resolving within two weeks of use.

Reviews and Concerns

Bring your appliance to each dental appointment for review and adjustment. If it's damaged or causing discomfort, contact the practice for help.
