How do I know I have

Headaches

?

Dental-related headaches may be indicated by pain that originates in the jaw, face, or temples, along with symptoms such as jaw stiffness, clicking or popping sounds in the jaw, tooth sensitivity, or pain triggered by biting or chewing. A dental examination can help identify any underlying dental issues contributing to the headaches.

Why do people get

Headaches

?

TMJ disorders can cause referred pain that radiates to the head and face, while bruxism can lead to muscle tension and strain, triggering headaches. Dental infections, such as abscesses or impacted wisdom teeth, can cause localized or referred pain that manifests as a headache.

What if

Headaches

is left untreated?

It is important to consult with a dentist to determine the underlying cause of dental-related headaches and receive appropriate treatment to alleviate the pain. If dental-related headaches are left untreated, they can cause several issues:

Worsening dental conditions

In cases where headaches are related to dental problems, not seeking treatment could lead to increased tooth sensitivity, or further damage to the teeth, jaw, or surrounding tissues.

Persistant headaches

Headaches and pain can persist or worsen over time, leading to chronic pain conditinos or decreased quality of life.
