A New Home

5th June 2015

Sorry that we've been keeping this a secret from you - we're currently in the process of building a new home for Dentists of Hawthorn! This has been a goal for both Patrick and I since we started at the practice and we're glad to be able to share this news with you!

Over the last few years, we've shared with you our long term dreams for Dentists of Hawthorn to look at both Patrick and I to be able to work alongside each other on a regular basis. Over the last 12 months, we've been working with our design and construction partners in looking for a location, learning to understand architectural documents and finalising designs.

Over the last 3 months, our purpose built facility has been taking shape around the corner. Not only is it great to watch our dreams become a reality, but we're looking forward to being able to offer greater availability for us to see you, as well as having state of the art equipment to help us care for you in a new comfortable and welcoming environment .

We will be moving to 330 Burwood Road and will still be in the heart of Hawthorn. It's only a short 5 minute walk from the existing surgery and we'll have limited parking available at the rear of the premises.

If all goes according to plan, we hope to be moving into the new clinic in mid-September 2021 and will keep you all updated once we have a date locked in!

We're really looking forward to seeing you all in our new premises soon!

Keeping Busy

During the ongoing lockdowns, we have still been keeping ourselves busy with the ongoing pursuit of knowledge to ensure we can continue to maintain the high levels of care we can provide.

Aaron has completed his Graduate Diploma in Dental Sleep Medicine! Unfortunately he was unable to attend his graduation in Perth due to border closures, but he's hoping to visit the quokkas sometime in the near future.

Patrick has been busy with teaching both himself and his daughters! While not homeschooling, he has been keeping himself informed on the latest surgical techniques with online lectures and courses from international teachers.

Emma celebrated her wedding late last year and enjoyed her honeymoon in Tasmania last summer. While not sitting next to the phones, she has been trying to keep her steps up by going bushwalking with her dogs!

Erin has just reached her first year working with us as a dental assistant after moving from Gippsland! She has been enjoyed being able to get to know everyone and has fit into the team seamlessly. We were also able to celebrate her 40th birthday with a morning tea!

Jo has been busy continuing her dental studies in Bendigo, while also juggling her role as the president of the Australian Dental Student Association! She has also learnt to make acrylic pours in the spare time she has had.

Lockdown Updates

Our availability for appointments is constantly changing due to the unpredictability of the current pandemic - thank you to all of you who have helped us for your understanding despite constant rescheduling of your appointments! We are currently able to see you for time-critical or emergency care during lockdown periods. For the up to date information, please check our social media accounts on Facebook or Instagram.

We hope to be moving into the new clinic in mid-September 2021 and will keep you all updated once we have a date locked in!

We are really looking forward to seeing your smiling faces in our new premises soon!
